two great articles there, thanks shadow, you never disappoint

the apple article is a curious one. It really makes you think what's going to happen now. will Apple become complacent, and fall behind? isn't that what's almost killed BB? or will they finally put more funding into innovation and become one of the best creative forces on the market again, as they were in 2006. say they don't. does that mean android phones will then become complacent with a lack of competition, opening up an era with few new ideas and boring old applications? all big questions, all relying on apple's next move.

the space article, simply put, made me sad. our ambition in that field as a race has seriously died down, and i'm a firm believer that there is alien life, intelligent too. hell even on one of the many moons of the giants of our solar system.

The money has died down - not the ambition.

I mean the ambition that gave NASA and other space related agencies so much money to work with in the first place. fucking states and their spending on the military. Imagine how much better the world would be off with that money being allocated properly.

Trust me, their still searching. New discoveries are being made in space everyday, we just have to hope and see. NASA didn't put Curiosity on Mars just to take more pictures of rocks.

As far as space exploration goes, we've learned plenty about our own backyard, we can only really study anything outside our solar system with telescopes. As far as inside the solar system, we can send robots to every major moon/planet that dont have extreme conditions to the point where it will destroy them instantly. But it just doesn't make sense to do that when theres a 99.999% chance that the information it finds is, "this is a giant rock".

The Voyager that launched in 1977 is about to leave our solar system and cross into interstellar space. Exciting to see what it finds.

I remember when a movie like Bob Roberts seemed wonderfully over-the-top. This dude is unbelievable. He's all about 100 percent of the people now.
