here's what both sides do not understand, the only reason why the USD remains the world reserve currency and still has substancial value(as they print and print) is because of its military, because of its policing of the world, because of its raping and pillaging of other countries for their assets. You cut off the military and wars i gaurantee you the usd loses its reserve currency status and becomes toilet paper or at the very least worth alot less. its inevitable in the long run but wars/policing the world helps assure a slow bleed so we can continue to stuff our faces and watch insignificant shit like sports on our bigscreens for as long as possible even if we are indeed going to hell

and canada won't be immune from this either as we have a weak military and no gold holdings to backstop our currency. Our fiscal situation is a bit better but wont be when the CMHC comes asking the tax payer to pay for all the shitty mortgages they backstopped as our goldman sachs affiliated central banker lowerd interest rates to record lows to further prop the housing bubble. There will be substancial consequences to the entire western civilization way of life if the us stopped the rape and policing, china would just take the role earlier than expected and maybe just maybe we could avoid going to hell while the chinese take our spots

i think you forget about canada's best asset, which is natural resources (oil, freshwater, lumber, certain medical herbs, etc.) which can help hold us off from becoming the economic wasteland that is usa

canada's commodities may mitigate the impact but lets face it, there are alot of commodity rich countries in emerging markets that don't have citizens living like we do. We without a doubt benifit from america's buying power and dominant status. remains to see what extent but we'll find out in time

^ Gingrich is inconsequential. He's a loon, but that Rick Perry motherfucker is a calculating evil.

So this Rick motherfucker wants to talk about 'heinous crimes' eh? I am so fucking game for this. Imma ensure this assclown's presidency hopes are dashed way before we're even in the stretch run.

In the thread I got that from, the smartest person in there said he's killed an innocent man on death row. I read the subsequent links for myself and found it to be true. It's the Cameron Todd Willingham case, if any have heard of it before. The first link I'll provide is his wikipedia file, which is fairly long, but I'd rather folk read the 2nd link I provide. It's longer than the first, but it's a very worthwhile read; insight into the true character of this pretender, this shyster, this criminal, this diabolical tool Rick Perry. And trust me, I'm not being dramatic; those adjectives I used are nothing but tame understatements in comparison of how I really feel about him - with both my justice-seeking heart & all-sides seeking mind.

Link 1: Cameron Todd Willingham - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Link 2: Cameron Todd Willingham, Texas, and the death penalty : The New Yorker

If you don't have the time to read it, I'll give you a few quotes (though I strongly urge anyone concerned about things that matter, to read it; it's unlikely the media at this time will do you any of the service I'm giving):

"Since 1976, more than a hundred and thirty people on death row have been exonerated. DNA testing, which was developed in the eighties, saved seventeen of them, but the technique can be used only in rare instances."

" Barry Scheck said. “The only reasonable conclusion is that the governor’s office and the Board of Pardons and Paroles ignored scientific evidence.” "

Read more Cameron Todd Willingham, Texas, and the death penalty : The New Yorker

' Nearly two years later, the Innocence Project commissioned Lentini and three other top fire investigators to conduct an independent review of the arson evidence in the Willingham case. The panel concluded that “each and every one” of the indicators of arson had been “scientifically proven to be invalid.” '

This is what happend off-camera at one of the debates in early Sept 2011; he knows he's diabolical fraud & knows Ron Paul got his number, and so he grabbed 76yr old Ron's arm when he thought the camera wasn't rolling. Motherfucker:

Even more telling of the way Rick's heart beats, if you didn't click the link at the bottom right of that video, then here it is:

How does that relate to good ol'boy Rick, you may ask? It's the executive order that Rick enforced on his state - Link: rick perry executive order gardasil - Google Search

Every one of them are nuts! Seriously, take a good look at the GOP candidates. It's simply amazing how pathetic they are. Just take a look at the polls, it seems like every week or two there's a new leader. Nobody has real confidence in anyone out of this bunch. Hell the right was clammering for Chris Christy a couple weeks ago, and he's more liberal than some liberals.

Take a look at how they reacted over pulling out of Iraq. As if year 10 was going be the year it was all going to turn around. Iraq has wanted them gone for 3yrs or so and getting out of there is the right thing to do imo. But in this climate, no way can any right winger ever agree with the president no matter what he does. If he doesn't do this, they'd slam him for not keeping his campaign promise to end the war in Iraq. He can't win with those nuts!

Of the current GOP candidates, I fully put Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum, Rick Perry, Mitt Romney & Herman Cain in the nutjob category. However I certainly don't put Dr. Ron Paul amongst them; he's been against the wars from the start, even with more substance than Obama calling the Iraq invasion unjust in 2002 (which, hindsight being 20/20, was the only substantial thing we had to go on with him back in 2008; and then once elected he sent more troops there at the end of '09! - compare that with Paul's consistency: as I said in my 1st link on pg1 of this thread, Obama stole Paul's resume in '08, and we all fell for it b/c of our disdain for the Bush Admin). We were all mislead to believe Obama would keep his campaign promises, but instead he betrayed each imperative one.

As for the GOP polls, it's all bullshit. None of them are giving Ron Paul his due, even though everyone outside of the mainstream media shows him mad love (youtube 'Ron Paul Jon Stewart'). The media, like the aforementioned nutjobs, are suckin the Military Industrial Complex & big banks cock with Ben Bernanke. The good news is the polls mean nothing now, especially with Ron outshining everyone whenever he gets the chance; let's see what happens in the stretch run.

Regarding Iraq, Ron has consistently said that he'll pull the troops home as soon as the ships for them can get there. It's of no coincidence that Obama is suddenly announcing he'll make good on his '08 campaign promise to bring them home by 12/31/2011 (after sending so many more over there back in Dec '09, don't forget) *AFTER* Ron has said it so boldly & consistently; all these politicians, including Obama, know Ron Paul is kicking all their asses despite what the polls are saying, so they'll gladly steal his words & pass them off as their own. There's more evidence of Obama working for the M.I.C. & banks to favor him, than for U.S. citizens, so I think it's very naive to believe this new announcement of his is done w/correct heart, or even method.

Anyways, Obama's made his bed & now has to lie in it. And the only people who claim Ron's a nut are those who seek but can't best him in an argument.

-------------------
For the American folk here who want to vote Ron Paul in 2012, I copied n pasted this from youtube links:

" It's not enough to say "Vote Ron Paul"

PEOPLE NEED TO SWITCH PARTIES 12 WEEKS IN ADVANCE OF THE PRIMARIES IN MOST STATES.

IF YOU DO NOT SWITCH IN TIME YOU CANNOT VOTE IN PRIMARY.

IF YOU ARE NOT REGISTERED REPUBLICAN YOU CANNOT VOTE IN PRIMARY.

IF RON PAUL DOES NOT WIN PRIMARY, NO GENERAL ELECTION! REGISTER AS A REPUBLICAN. FIND OUT WHEN YOUR STATE HAS PRIMARIES. FIND OUT WHERE AND VOTE! PLEASE! GO TO YOUR TOWN HALL TO SWITCH!

WE NEED EVERY LAST VOTE! Copy and paste this and THUMBS UP! "

Ron Paul has no shot at ever becoming president so it's all a moot point anyway. I still think he's a little nuts though. lol
