Default Bill Maher on Conan (aug 24th)

Anyone catch it? Conan looked so uncomfortable, almost felt bad for the guy, but couldn't help but laugh at the whole thing.

I liked how Maher invited himself on "with no plugs" just as an act of good will... LOL - yet Maher quickly and predictably eased into doing his "america is stupid" shtick, which in a lot of ways I agree with and find amusing, but I just wonder sometimes how much of a sadistic kick he gets out of it, and how much he's addicted to putting down people.

Anyways, I enjoy Maher and Conan.

I bow down to Bill Maher

I agree with him on most issues, and he's hilarious. I love Real Time.

Maher is my favorite of all the talk show comics. I just think he's a bully sometimes......Conan looked pretty upset, LOL. But that's why I like Bill, he has balls like no other comic.

Even if Bill Maher can be funny and its right about a lot of things, he is an arrogant douchebag. Jon Stewart owns him everyday.

Nahhhhh, Jon Stewart isn't as funny as Bill Maher. At least in my opinion.

Im not really talking about whos funnier. When I watch Maher I see I guy who loves the sound of his voice too much and thinks that has all the answers. I find him extremelly annoying. When I watch Jon Stewart I see a simple guy who doesnt take himself too seriously.

About whos funnier. I simple dont find maher funny at all. But thats just an opinion.

Have to agree with Belsius on that one. Jon Stewart is a lot better than Bill Maher.

I like Stewart often....I just don't like how neutral and impish he is about most things, his domination tactics with guests makes him seem sometimes like a passive aggressive douche in a lot of ways, but he's still right up there with the best of them. He's much better than Cobert, who is too much of a limited act. With Stewart, you feel you got somewhat of a real person there, capable of more range.

Stewart is more self-effacing, and will poke fun at himself quite a bit. Something you hardly ever see Bill do, as Bill is very aggressive with people, with a lot of witty put downs, which is fun too. If i watch too much Bill, I prefer Stewart, if I watch too much Stewart, I prefer Bill. They both do what the other doesn't, so they both good guys to have around, and compliment each other well, very different styles.

I find Bill and Stewart make me laugh just as much, just in different ways. In the end, I favor Bill because he challenges me to think more directly. He listed off a bunch of things americans don't know that they should know....and I'll admit, there was a couple things I didn't know (I'm canadian, so that gives me a bit of an excuse) so that gave me the motivation to look them up. I don't like having weaknessnes, most men don't, and guys like Bill are good because they have the balls to make you suffer, and suffeirng is good because you try to over come it. Pussies tend to make things all soft and comfy and happy, and as a result, nobody has any desire for change, no one grows, develops.....things stagnant.

That's femininity for you......stagnation, gravity, herdliness.....you get swallowed up by the vag of mediocrity.

Caught just a bit of Conan last night....laughed my ass off at one of his jokes:

Pauly Shore will have his own reality show, it's about his efforts to adopt a child from Africa.

The title of the show will be "Please mister, let me stay in Africa"

I'm not mean or rude to them, or anything. But I do see the feminization of culture as a bad thing.

I'm sorry, the feminization of culture. Oh, please, please do explain what you mean by this with some examples. Please, pretty please.

I'm with him on this one CG, culture is becoming more feminine. I will be happy to discuss when I get to work.

I'm just not so sure the fact that it is turning a bit, is a bad thing.

Stewart is a lot easier to watch

i don't mean to sound accusatory or pushy windex, but i must ask - how can you be a fan of stewart or maher and also be a fan of bill o'reilly and glenn beck? how is that reconcileable?
