It makes me laugh considering I'm getting married in two weeks.

Many women, just can't find Mr. Right, because they have totally incorrect ideas about what life is about. It's not about finding the man of your dreams who will entertain you day in day out. He's the elusive Alpha male, and either a) has a preferences for women who are higher ranking than you, b) is an asshole who will treat you bad, or c) will satisfy you only for a little while until you spot a higher status male.

So yeah, there you have it. Marriage 101
Bah, I can't not respond to this.

So... I'm completely with ya on the background and previous reasoning for marriage. Sure.

But when you talk about marriage NOW? You're generalizing about women yet again. Maybe SOME women do fit this mold that you're explaining, but not all of em. Not me.

I don't want or need a guy to buy a stupidly expensive ring for me, so I can have a new shiny thing to show off. You can't say that every woman will get bored of a man as soon as they're married, move onto to the next man with higher "Ranking" and extort him out of his money.

How fucking insulting. You have a very low appreciation for all women in general. That's what I take from this.

As for women being unable to find Mr. Right because they have incorrect ideas on life? Really? All women? Bullshit. Some, yes... again, I'll give you that.

But as a woman myself (yeah, I have a vagina and am chock full o' estrogen) this pisses me off. I'm not one of those women - don't lump as all together. My reasons for wanting to be married are not listed in your tirade. I've had long-term relationships, and never did I leave them to find a "man of higher ranking".

I'm not looking to be entertained by a man. Nor taken care of by one. I don't want a fucking alpha male, or an asshole who will treat me badly (those are the ones you leave before you marry em, my friend.)

I want to be married to my equal, my partner, someone I love completely and loves me the same. I don't give a shit about status or rank or what they can do for me.

So please.

The next time you want to make statements like this one? Be fair. Realize that not all women can be pigeon-holed into your particular views on something. Don't tell me what I want as a woman. I'm fully aware of what I want and what I have to offer. I'm no shrinking violet, I'm an independent chick who just wants someone to be her partner through adult life.

Ok?

You're just figuring out now that Cory has something against women? hahahaha

You should see some of the old threads.

I'd argue that Cory has a problem with humans.

Cory, if you're willing to share a few details, I'd love to know about your relationship with your mother.

Yeah, I noticed. Just didn't comment til now.

I'd also like to know about his relationship with his mother. Or any women in general. His view is certainly skewed.

Oh, you guys didn't know?

When two males get married, their penises get scared and take shelter within the body, thus rendering these males useless. And, of course, by "useless", I mean they turn into women.

At least I think that's how Corey sees it.

I could go on about my philosophy and even share some personal details, but I really wonder if you all can handle it? I worry that I've shown you all too much.

What I do and what I'm about is a bit like what Australian snake handlers do, they inject a bit of venom into them, a little bit, bit by bit over time, they suffer fevers and pain as a result of the injections, but gradually they gain immunity. Truth is venom. I have gained immunity.

I can only give bits at a time, and I really wonder if you need any at all.

Are you sure you really want to know about me and my outlook? Be serious here, this isn't entertainment. This could change your life, if it hasn't already.

1. Lower car insurance.

2. Avoiding the small tinge of guilt that comes along with referring to the mother of your child as your "girlfriend".

The point of extravagant, traditional weddings....there might not be one.

But there are many good reasons to get married, all of which I thought were bullshit about a year and a half ago.

Marriage doesn't have to be forever. You can get married and make it legal, both mutually understanding that's is possible to fall out of love and get a divorce.

You have to think about it backwards.
If you'll do anything for love, then why not sign a contract. What is so scary about making it official?

Or is Law more powerful than love?
