Not a realistic view imo.

First, you have to give people the benefit of the doubt imo, if they're getting married, they must THINK that person is the right person for them.

Maybe it's for the wrong reasons, but why else would they be doing it unless they thought it was the right choice. People don't intentionally make poor decisions. The fact of the matter is everybody changes. What was the right choice or felt like the right choice at one time doesn't always turn out to be a good relationship.

Their is no SURE thing. Their aren't soulmates out there, crafted perfectly for each and everyone of us to seek out and marry.
Not at all.... I don't believe in "soulmates" or "love at first sight". Both are ridiculous concepts to me. There are what? 6 BILLION people on the earth right now? You would have to think that there are hundreds if not THOUSANDS of women out there who I could be very happy with.

I've seen quite a few people get married who cast aside the warnings of their friends and families and ended up getting divorced less than 2 years later.

I'm not saying that things don't happen sometimes and people don't change... but when you're on the road to marrying someone who CLEARLY doesn't suit you... and EVERYONE else can see it... you're being a bit of a dumbass IMO.

That being said, I'm certainly not advocating that people let their parents and friends dictate who they marry..... only that they take their time and make a sound decision that's going to satisfy them in the long run.

Speaking of weddings, my friend Kim is one of three finalists in the running for the Carlsberg Big Wedding Bash Bonanza Blowout Supersized Yeehaaaaa! thing. Her and her fiance will get a wedding worth $100,000 and anyone can crash it and Carlsberg beer will be flowing from...fountains? I don't know. Anyway, if you can find in your heart to vote for her, that'd be swell.

Carlsberg.ca — Probably the best.

Their name is Kevki and they're currently behind a few percentage points.

I voted, but the idea of a woman marrying a studly young man that she's seven years older than is nauseating.

Yeah. It is nauseating. Where's MY studly young man?

But really... you don't like that she's older? Whyfor?

Why, married to an older woman is supposed to be a good thing? Just asking, don't throw anything at your computer?

I was thinking something similar: when navigating your ship across rough water, it helps to have a captain or first mate who has navigated those seas a time or two. That goes for sex, too.
