First up thanks for the mention its much appreciated.

I just have to say a few things about the board. I wanted to in the past but just didn't have the forum for it so I guess this thread is better than any.

I godda say in terms of moderating I have never been on a board that is so liberal in their mod practises. I never see any mods go on an ego binge or just kick someone out of pure distaste. I must say that is a rare thing in a forum and I have to applaud all staff for making that happen. As every forum some low posting members sometimes get left out but all I godda say is post consistently with insightfull posts and you will be woven into the community much sooner than later.

The board also doesn't allow the "regulars" run the board. That shows a sign of respect to all which in some ways kind of disturbing.

What I'm trying to say is you guys are too nice (I have to clump myself in the equation). With the exception of maybe 2 posters (which I won't single out at this point cause I think your doing a heck of a job) everyone agrees with each other and is nice. Not enough nastiness.

I'd say I'd be the one to start it but it isn't in my character. I guess I could live with this one tiny small problem because hey you can't have it all right.

Oh lastly, I could do without mass swearing. So members just simmer down a bit. If you don't well ... I can't do nothing.

I agree.

I am open to a lot of types of forum, and one thats hard to keep sane is a sports forum. The guys here work hard to keep this place sane. Even when they are pushed and taunted by the likes of "other" older guys that are here and are not mod-material, they manage to keep thier sanity, and provide for us all a healthy and happy place to act like complete wierdo's and obsess about our favorite Basketball team.

Kudos, the the Man, he's run a tight ship.... well, to all of um except Belsius, Claudius, Benzo, Acie, 'trane, fancylad, INSIDER, Jay and that other dude...them guys are just jerks.

Isn't that a contradiction? First you think you complain we are too nice and then that we swear enmasse?

yes it is a bit of a contradiction. Its a nice board but I wish someone pushed the envelope a bit. Can't have it both ways I guess

However; I'm not a fan of mass swearing but you do what you want.

We've had guys that pushed the envelope, but eventually they focused exclusively on just being a durfwad and not discussing basketball or whatever the topic at hand was and became a major distraction. It's too bad because a couple of them were real knowledgeable guys and solid contributors when they weren't being a "renegade" poster.
