RF Staff Announcement

Sometimes real life gets in the way of what we do here at RF and unfortunately due to an ever increasing workload, priorities on the home front and subsequently less free time, Benzo has decided to step down from his position as ADMIN. This doesn’t mean he’s gone for good – he’ll remain on as a valued member and RF legend, but he’ll no longer be running his contests and occasionally taking his ADMIN hat off to blast some poor, unsuspecting soul that he vehemently disagrees with.

RF would not be what it currently is without Benzo’s tireless contributions over the last three and a half years both in the forum and behind the scenes, so I’d personally like to thank him for all that he’s done. There's also a large number of us that have a history that reaches far beyond RF to a few other boards and he’s always been a really solid dude, so I think I speak for the others too when I say it kind of feels like the end of an era.

Finally, since I won the first Survivor contest that he conducted back in ’08 and have still yet to receive my prize of an autographed Mo Pete picture, I hope that sometime in the near future we can meet up and he can at the very least buy me a beer.

We'd also like to welcome oneironaught to the staff here at RF, as he's graciously agreed to be our eyes and ears on the west coast. He's also a solid dude, so don't mess with him!

Ok, not true, I am stepping down. I step down, leaving this place in very very good hands. It wasn't too long ago, that some people figured we were doomed here as we lost a few key members. The opposite has happened, and I think we have grown bigger than anyone ever thought. To be fair, half of that is the URL, it is a very good one, the other half is the people.

It seems like yesterday, a handful of us showed up here and found a couple members on an inactive board. Now we have members from across the globe talking hoops and other important things like Fart jokes.

I suppose one of the best things here, has been watching some of our younger members grow, DK, Gurk just to name a couple. Watching some of our members go from watching to engaging.

Hedo fans came and went, but some stayed and I believe that is a testament to the entire board.

I step down as an admin, and into the fire, I have no doubt that my respected former colleagues will be discussing whether or not they should ban me in no time.

Finally, mods, Acie.....you guys have become my on-line family and I look forward to becoming the crazy uncle.
