Help Name RF's Daily News Thread

I'd like RaptorsForum to have a catchier title for our daily thread pertaining to Raptors/NBA news (ala "Today in Raptorland" from previous seasons for those have been together over the years) and want the public to vote for their favourite. If the ones that are listed in the poll aren't your cup of tea and you think you can do better, we're also up for new suggestions.

So help us out and in choosing a new name (or old one if the people still like "Today in Raptorland")

And the nominees are? (check poll to vote)

BTW, votes aren't public ... totally anonymous. ;)

That's a pretty good one, but isn't there a blog out there called "End of the Bench"? :confused2:

i'm actually a big fan of "today in raptorland". it's simple and to the point and doesn't look like it was named by a cheesy ad company.

Gurk 09-26-2008 04:51 PM

I like "Today in Raptorland"
What about for NBA news what will you call that?

I add the some random NBA news usually at the end of the same thread. I don't bother with a specific news thread for around the NBA because it would take too long to accumulate all the news on a daily basis.

Why fix what ain't broke?

Heres some more suggestions to make "Today in Raptorland" look better. Anyway, it worked for OKC Thunder:

- Raptor Ravings
- The Rapsody
- The Daily Dunk
- Sir Rap-a-lot and his midnight muses
- The Saurus

lang 09-27-2008 01:04 AM

The Saurus is pretty creative. :)

Aar_Canada 09-28-2008 05:24 PM

Daily Rap Slap?! My goodness.

zachus 09-28-2008 06:03 PM

I was planning on voting for Today in Raptorland but now I'm definitely digging "The Saurus"

Dr. J. Naismith 09-29-2008 09:30 AM

Hmmm .... "The Saurus" does sound kind of catchy now that I think about it.

Anyone else like it? :confused2:

I was expecting an Oak quote...

"If it ain't broke, don't break it."
