It explains a lot about why Lowry and the others had such poor spacing, which made it difficult for Lowry to find someone, because Alan Anderson was able to help triple team him. The whole play got fucked up, because it's not what they had initially drawn up. They were adjusting in real time.
If we had been lucky, Patterson would have been able to pick up the loose ball when Lowry split the two defenders in the paint. Patterson would have had a better chance of getting a turn around hook over Pierce.
We had another TO did we not? Once we realized we couldn't run the play from that side we should have burned the timeout imo. It would also give us an opportunity to see how they planning on defending us.
