Moremilk brings up a good point though - Derozan has had flashes of this. There was one point last game where joe Johnson had him posted up down low. Instead of D'ing him up hard and trying to make a stop, Derozan gave up, let Johnson beat him, fouled him, then screamed at Valanciunas for not coming over for the double. Val should have been there a step sooner yes, but the double isn't a saving grace, it's to add another level of pressure to the pressure that's already coming from good individual man defense. Knowing the double should be there isn't a reason to soften up.
In demara defense, ALOT of players do that. I have seen Durant do that many times as well as lebron. Not saying its the right thing, just saying a lot of stars do it.
