Ahhhh, it's bullshit to me. Anyone that gives up on the league because of that was likely not a huge fan to begin with or had already lost interest. Take a look at the arena's, hell our basket's say State Farm on them and used to have a big Snickers logo on them. We have an arena in the NBA named after a Smoothie King company. It's everywhere, a couple patches on a jersey's which helps the league revenue is fine imo at this point. It's not going to change.
