It's the Knicks. They add money and give away picks in hopes to win more games. This deal saves them money and downgrades their players. Nothing about this deal sounds like the Knicks.
Besides, they'd still be far over tax, they still would have no flexibility next year (assuming Melo stays), their team would be worse... there's just nothing about this deal that they would like.
It's a nice deal for Denver though, since they have the Knicks pick.
