Why do so many equate wanting to trade DD with thinking DD sucks? This team is capped out, they need to right the ship. If trading DD helps that cause and brings a good return of draft picks or cheap young prospects, then so be it. We've all seen some improvement, but he's a long way from being an untouchable star player. As Jeff said, we can't risk this guy becoming a malcontent, and we've seen countless examples of him being frustrated both on and off the court at both players and refs while ignoring the fact that his own play has largely contributed to the culture here most of the time.
I say explore away, but obviously it has to be great value coming back because you're selling based on what some think he can still become.... and maybe he can. Sell high Ujiri because then even if he does reach it, we'll have gotten good value anyways. If he platesus again from here we'll have lost such an opportunity.
