Here's where i went off the rails. They come out in the second half and take a 5 point lead playing like they should have to start the game. Good. It looks like they got their heads on straight and are ready to put in the work to achieve a professional, expected win.
But the 5 point lead just seemed to mark the occasion to coast from there on as if the game was over. Like this team can get away with just hitting a switch every now and then and coming away with a win. As soon as the 5 point lead evaporated there needed to be a timeout and a refocussing. But no, there remained as little focus as was exhibited by the paltry crowd in attendance.
This team is doing some really good things. It's inexcusable that those good things are being wasted rather than capitalized upon. And how you let the Bobcats open things up by just repeating what they did to Toronto last season is more inexcusable. Casey is good up to a point. He is good with the details. He is good with chipping away at that rock. But he has no way of getting closer to the big picture. There ends up being more cracks in team chemistry than there does in any rock.
He just has no idea how to run a good offence.
