Yeah, it was 1.9 seconds. Assuming the other team plays it safe, shoots with a full second remaining, hits the rim at 1.9 second mark, bounces straight down into a defenders arms and a time out is called immediately, that still leaves enough time only for a catch and shoot off the inbounds. This ignores the fact that 90% of rebounds bounce UP, and as such would eat the rest of that clock.
Casey may have been assuming the Bobcats would initiate their set at about 8 seconds remaining, as is often the case, and as such get their shot off early (with his assumed 5 seconds left on the clock). Of course, they would be morons to do so, and he's a moron if he expected that.
