A friend of mine is having the same issue with Rogers. His blackberry is acting up and he wants to upgrade to the GS4. They told him he couldn't upgrade until next march and his 3yr contract is up in April. It appears that since the law changed to two year contracts instead of three they are not allowing early upgrade without large fees. They told him it would cost him 250 $ to terminate the current contract just to be able to sign a new contract for a phone that would then cost 200 $. Well he is not staying with Rogers and he has been a Rogers customer for fifteen years and gives them 350 $/month. He told them they are going to lose 4000 $/yr from him over the price of a 250$ fee. He said he was astounded at their indifference to losing a long time customer that gives them that much dough.
