yeah, this is pretty stupid for non-Raptor related reasons as well. We don't even need to be sensitive Raptor fans to call this a poorly done mock, if it's getting put out by a supposedly professional outlet. They fucked a bunch of shit up.

Cleveland picking 5th? Not likely.

Wizards picking 8th? Not likely.

Utah 16th? Not likely. And I don't think that's because they think it's the GS pick, since this page was last updated the first week of July, before that was probably official.

But it gets worse. Bad predictions aside, it's also shitty because of the errors.

1 - Detroit picking 9th is both a bad prediction and impossible. Detroit's 2014 pick goes to Charlotte if it falls outside the 1-8 protection zone.

2 - Philly picking 15th? Philly missed the playoffs last year and has even less talent now, so most expect a tank. And this mock was done after they traded Holiday, as illustrated by their comment about Noel playing for Philly, so there is no excuse for this dumbass prediction. Furthermore, even if Philly did make the playoffs, they owe their 2014 pick to Miami if it falls outside of the lottery. So Philly can't pick 15th; the pick would go to the Heat.

3 - The New York Knicks don't even have a pick. They got it right that Orlando gets a second first round pick via Denver or NY, but they left the Knicks with a pick. That's wrong. I think that's maybe where they expected GS to pick and it's just fucked up.

4 - Brooklyn doesn't have a pick; it goes to Boston (or the Celts get the Hawks position if Atlanta's pick is the least favourable).

* a few of the other predictions are really "lolwut?" worthy but that's probably because it was done before Howard decided to leave the Lakers for Houston. But even with Howard, after what happened last year, why would the Lakers be a top 5 team in the West, as the draft position suggests?
