Saw Cronenberg's Cosmopolis. Brilliant, though difficult. I think it might be his best film. I just think the final scene could have been better, but that is likely due to me liking that part best in DeLilo's novel. The rest is an improvement over the novel. It wonderfully illustrates how the rational can become as disconnected to the real world as the irrational and how impossible it has become to express our humanity in a capitalist world that has hybridized all of life with technology. This film doesn't engross you much at all, but might keep you thinking for days. It reminded me of Godard. It was pretty similar to Crash as well.

I enjoyed that movie quite a bit as well.
