It's misleading to just look at the average number of rebounds we get per game, because we play at one of the slowest paces in the league, and will thus be at an inherent disadvantage. We're one of the 5 slowest teams. That's objective, not an opinion. There is a stat for posessions per game (pace). So, given our slow pace, there are fewer rebounding opportunities because of fewer posessions.
Like I said, we're still bad, but not horriawful.
Even then, you lose the effects of pace and possession differential. Looking at ORB% and DRB% is a better indicator. The Raps are 20th and 16th in those categories, which puts them around 18th in the league in rebounding. So, below average, but not by much.
