All the threes is a bit of a troubling trend for me though, with the NBA game in general. It just takes a lot of the game out of the game and turns it into a skills competition.
This is a really good point.
Players/teams become obsessed with shooting 3s to the point that I believe it's one of the main culprits of 'killing' the Centre position
Now, the post up and kick out has been around forever but it only exists because of the play. It worked because you needed a legit post presence. Today, all the C really needs to be is a really smart passer and kick it out the wing (hence the rise in the usefulness of the SF/SG/PG.)
I'd like to see ball movement return and less teams settling for 3s. I remember the early Celtics teams of the 2000s prided themselves on shooting a ton of 3s. They were NEVER fun to watch.
