The funnier thing is, Bargnani chucked up more quick shots than Lowry did yesterday and not many will say anything because he shot 50%. There were two specific shots, in the first half he got the ball 25ft out and 17 seconds left on the clock and he jacked it up missing pretty badly. The second was with about 1:10 remaining we were down 4, Lowry was coming up to Center court and threw the ball up to Bargnani who was standing there at the 3pt line. He got it, didn't hesitate and jacked up a quick shot before we got a chance to setup and bricked it. If you look at Derozan, Bargnani, Derozan you see tham all at times take quick shots and try to do too much.

Also, what was Lowry's reputation when we got him?

He was known as being aggressive, tough as nails, at times takes questionable shots, is a decent playmaker, can shoot the 3pt, gets to the line, good defender, gambles sometimes too much and is one of the best rebounding PG's in the NBA. This was what we knew and what we had all see when watching him. All these things were great to everyone in pre-season and early in the season before he got hurt, why........he was hitting shots. Does anyone think he wasn't taking some questionable shots before he got hurt and was averaging 23/8/7? He's taking a lot less quetionable shots since coming back and taking a lot less shots overall by quite a bit since coming back from his injury. Gotta say that when loking at this starting lineup, he's the least of our problems imo. Bargnani is no more consistent with his shot selection at times, Derozan spinning fadeaways are getting tired and neither can defend. Then you have a black hole at SF (hopefully Pietrus can contribute) and Valanciunas, a 20yr old rookie at Center who is actually thriving imo.

Look at every single player on this team and they all have their warts. Some more than others. IMO Lowry brings a more all around game than anyone on this team and it isn't even that close. Rebounding, Assists, shooting, toughness, gets to the line and when healthy he's easily a top 5-10 defender at his position.
