That's the Raptors
for you. Nobody has a roll and can do whatever they want.
-Dominic McGuire gets posts up called for him
-Amir can shoot threes
-Lowry can chuck 35 foot threes
-DD can drive from the three point line on isos
-Bargnani can shoot contested long range shots
-John Lucas can chuck contested fadeaways
This is why we're just a bad team. There's no role definition. Watching how the Spurs operate and make use of their roleplayers is a thing of beauty. You never see Danny Green tossing up fadeaway jump shots. He's getting open threes. Same with Bonner. He's never driving from the 3pt line or doing things he shouldn't. Duncan gets his high quality shots, Parker breaks guys down off the dribble, creates for his teammates or takes open jumpers from his preferred spots on the floor.
Green and Bonner take open threes, Splitter and Blair get garbage baskets or feeds from teammates around the basket and their good players Parker, Manu and Duncan get quality opportunities or create for their roleplayers.
