I've been impressed thus far. The midrange jumper is falling consistently, he's looking to post up smaller opponents whenever there's a switch, and is staying aggressive despite the lack of respect he gets taking the ball to the hole. The only gripes are that the three point shooting is still very much below average for a SG, and his defense needs to tighten up. At least he's hitting the boards with more gusto, though.
Still, if he keeps playing like this and extends his range over the next year or two, BC offering him that contract will go down as one of his better decisions. Clearly, DD isn't going to be a Kobe-type player, ever, but he's finally starting to play up to his potential.
