He's just not utilized well, offensively we're parking him at the 3pt line asking to make plays from there, not much you can do. And defensively, while he had some mind-blowing breakdowns every game, he's getting better. I just wish we'd stop using him to hedge, he's just too slow and he's almost useless when hedging anyway. Last night was particularly bad, you can't ask a guy playing his 50th minute to run all the way outside the 3pt line, chase a speedy pg around AND go back under the basket to protect his man, it's just an unrealistic feat for most players in this league. That was on casey imo, I get that jose is just a glorified pylon, but in that case, bring ed/jv to chase williams and put andrea on al.
I'm not exactly a student of Basketball, but is this hedging thing universal? I don't really get it, all that happens is Bargnani
runs out and they double the point guard, who then passes it out and Bargnani
is usualy out of position or has to chase a guy back.
Why do they do this? I'm not trying to sound stupid but I'm just curious about this play in particular.
