It's a tough situation... our smalls, without lowry, are probably the weakest group in the league, therefore it's difficult to even hold the fort in that department when other teams play that way.... in addition to that, many of our bigs are young and haven't very limited offensive games that are either developing or quite mechanical, which means they're not yet ready or capable to punish teams that go small against us. JV can get there but isn't yet, AB is there, but Ed, Amir and to a lesser extent Gray aren't offensive forces that teams have to really concern themselves with. Only Gray really poses a major size problem of the three and I'm not sure if he got much run last night.... might have been a better solution just to camp him out down low, but then so many complain that he shouldn't even be involved offensively....kind of a lose-lose scenario. It's why we've needed more vet talent and not so many young. developing players that seem to be unable to impose their will.
I agree with that, this team isn't quite ready to impose their will when KL is off the court. That will take some time to build that kind of identity, more than the 6 games played so far.
