This was a Knicks fan post in the Raptors forum on Real GM

Knicks fan here:

Obviously I want Nash, but let me break down what the Knicks are trying to do, and why (IMO) Toronto will have Nash in uniform next season.

These are the players that would be offered in a sign-and-trade with Phoenix:

Landry Fields: $2,695,391 (Has to sign QO)
Toney Douglas: $2,067,880 with $3,101,820 QO in 2013/14
Dan Gadzuric: $1,352,181 (12/13 team option)
Josh Harrellson: $762,195
Jerome Jordan: $762,195

Total: $7,639,842

Multiply that by 150%+100k for max Knicks can absorb in a S&T= $11,559,763

As most of you are asking, why would Phoenix take this? Knicks fans on our board are saying they'll take it because if he signs with Toronto they get nothing, but I'd have to agree with you guys in terms of cap space being more valuable than Fields+garbage.
