I'm thinking about trying for a 4-month co-op work term in BC next fall or summer. I'm unsure about it because I've never really went somewhere independantly on my own before (going to the same uni as a bunch of my friends from home). Advice would be much appreciated.
When I was 18 i moved out of the house from Welland to Niagara Falls and I knew nobody and had no car. I had a job and within a couple weeks I had a girlfriend. If you're going there for co-op work you'll meet people pretty quickly. I would say do it, you'll be nervous at first but the experience will likely be well worth it and if you don't do it you'll probably always wonder if you should have. How old are you?
