Yes, in theory this would work if Toronto was a traditional US market.
The fact is, and you still read it on US based boards, is that many don't see Toronto as a place that cares about basketball (which is a crock).
Hell, even when this team was reach an apex and consistent (under the Bosh
years and VC years), there was more talk about players leaving than coming in.
Toronto needs to be proactive in changing that image. Winning helps. Being different helps even more. -
