As an addition to the Jose-to-Lakers suggestion, although their TPE is not large enough to fit him, it is large enough to fit a player who would then be large enough for a Jose trade.
The expiring contract players large enough to trade for Jose (you can't combine players you recently traded for) and small enough to fit into their trade exception are:
Jameer Nelson (with a PO for next year)
Maurice Williams (with a PO for next year)
So, potentially, the Lakers could acquire any of those players with their TPE and flip them for Jose. Now, this seems unlikely - there aren't too many expiring contracts that fit into the required salary range (7.45M to 8.9M). Of course, it doesn't have to be an expiring, but otherwise it would have to be a younger player with some upside the Raps might want to keep, and how would the Lakers get that player and why would they trade him away?
