So get it fixed ASAP and that's that. Don't call the police, and certainly don't involved your insurance company. You don't HAVE to use insurance.
Just make sure you don't dick the store owner around and fix the damn damage, like yesterday.
I talked to the assistant manager and they said the store manager will contact me. I'm not sure what he's going to say.
I just hope it isn't standard procedure for the store to involve police/insurance.
