Well, my definition of a franchise player would include:
- Someone ownership can market to the fans.
- Someone who is the leader, the heart of your team.
- Someone who has the drive to win and make themselves and everyone around them better.
- Someone who is above and beyond your best player.
Having said that, including the ones you've already listed, I would include:
Chris Paul (quickly stealing the show from Blake Griffin in LA)
Just off the top of my head.
