I was watching Miami and San Antonio last night wondering why they get rookies that perform so well while we seem to get busts (or so we say after a few bad games) more often than not. And it dawned on me.
They have established stars and there is ZERO pressure on them. Really if they are any good, it's a bonus.
Having been in both situations personally (on a much smaller level of course), having the space to grow at your own speed with no expectations is very liberating.
Time to lay off of Demar.
Then what was his excuse in his rookie season when we had Bosh, Calderon, Hedo and Bargs
to absorb the "pressure"
If anything, there is less pressure this season because there are literally zero expectations.
These guys are pros and get paid millions to play a sport at a high level. Don't feel bad for him.
