Default Announcing Over/Under '12

Last season RaptorsandBuckeye Fan made it all the way to the end to become King of the over/underworld & the pride of Ohio!
Can you unseat him?

Whether the Raptors win or tank, you can take your over/under winnings to the bank!
Well...there won't be anything to take to the bank, but there will be bragging rights, and a little bit of fun.

We'll play the same way as last season. I'll post the o/u for the combined score as set by the Las Vegas and offshore casinos. You choose over or under. The correct choice nets you one point in the standings, and gives you a chance to collect on the bonus question.

Now last season the bonus consisted of picking the winner against the spread. This time I want to keep it all over/under related. I'll pick a different one for each game, and they will range from the sublime to the ridiculous, always needing to be verifiable of course. I might have an over/under set for the number of turnovers in the second quarter, or the number of shots attempted by Aaron Gray for the game. I'll be willing to consider suggestions for these - just fire off a PM.

Once again, I will split the competition into 3 rounds. We'll have something like the top ten finishers in each round advancing to the playoffs. I'll decide on the exact number to qualify once we begin and I can see what kind of number of participants is in play. Those at the top of the standings in each of the 3 rounds in the regular season will win a bonus point that gets carried over to the playoff round. And additional bonus points will be awarded to any players that make qualifying finishes in more than one round (one point for each additional qualifying finish).

There will also be a chance to qualify through the All-Star weekend, and for one person whose combined points for all three rounds ranks highest among those who fail to qualify in any of the three rounds (the biggest loser so to speak). Neither of those qualifiers will receive bonus points entering into the playoffs.

Each round will be 22 games in length. At the start of each new round the standings will be reset to zero. And then for the playoffs the standings will be reset, but with points allocated to those with the top scores and multiple qualifying finishes. So get ready. The fun will soon begin, once the regular season starts.
