The position of the player is relevant if we're talking about how to move the other pieces. Besides that, I'd take another Tim Duncan or Blake Griffin, if that's the level of player that Anthony Davis could be (which I'm not sure of yet).

I agree completely that the best chances of a proper build starts with the draft. I also feel that saving money for 2012 makes sense. Though the team may not be as accomplished at that stage, you will have Davis and DeRozan ideally improving. Valanciunas coming over, a top 5 draft pick in a deep draft, maybe Bayless playing better, and a bunch of cash to spend (whether it's in trade or in free agency). It's the best chance this team has, I think.
