SPACE JAM opened, subsequently defining an era. Went to see it when I was eight, but instead opted for Jingle All the Way. A decision that serves as my biggest regret to date. Watched it months later on VHS - the same day MJ and the Bulls downed the Jazz in '97. That day, basketball became my favourite sport. I truly believe Kubrick was well on his way to developing a sequel before he passed. Nevertheless, the original is, and forever will be, culturally and historically significant.
