And it makes so much sense for Raptors
to suck one more year while waiting for Valanciunas. And then add Drummond or Barnes or whoever with another top 5 pick.
That's a serious young core.
"Add talent" through free agency generally doesnt work unless (A) you already have a great core which you don't yet; or (B) you don't just add talent but add superstar talent like Miami or LA or whatever.
This team imo desperately needs a veteran. We currently have 9 players that are 25 and younger, with two more coming in a year (Valacuanas + 2012 pick). We have enough youth once we get another high pick. We need to add a vet prior to whenever the next season begins and one more the following season, if for nothing more than helping this young group going in the right direction and help with their development and confidence.
