AP been here since the 6th.
Guys have been trickling in.
Camp starts Tuesday in Ottawa.
AP focusing on getting to the basket a little more and finishing around the rim.
JO provides most of the things the Raps were missing last year. D on the block, post presence, returning with a lot of focus.
Asked about how JO's addition as a vet and Bosh's increased presence affected his role as a leader/C. - Hasn't, he thinks everyone fits into their roles.
Sam's open, understanding and honest behind closed doors, no issues, even if Doug was intimidated by Sam on the radio last week.
How do you improve perimeter D? - Individually have to step up and accept challenge. Team D is important in that the NBA has the best athletes and talents in th eworld and some nights you need help. Something Boston did a great job with last year. Having JO and Bosh
inside will help.
How good can this team be? - Really good. Underachieved last year, improved this year, take the court expecting to win. As far as AP is concerned, the sky is the limit. Says it's not like the KG/Ray Allen additions for Boston last year, but it feels similar to him personally.
Keys for Bargs
and Hump? - All 3 young guys (including Jawai) look really good. Bargs
really worked on body this summer, and back to basket/rebounding and toughness. Jawai could surprise some people this year, Humps also looks like he put in a lot of work this summer.
AP thinks the Raps really should have done better last season, and is really looking forward to this year.
AP works out early and often over the summer because he doesn't want to ever get out of shape. Tries to get body and mind right early.
