Same RPG (Davis played less minutes), Gibson had 2 more ppg in a couple extra minutes. IMO the two are somewhat comparable, but i think that Davis's ceiling is higher due to his size.
Gibson- 7.1ppg/5.7rpg/1.3blks in 22mpg (2nd season)
Davis- 7.7ppg/7.1rpg/1blk in 24mpg (Rookie)
IMO you also can't discount him missing training camp and the first 5 weeks of the season at all. And Gibson's stats were mostly vs opponents bench players.

Don't Davis' stats also come against bench players?
