There was a book that was recently published about Toronto's concrete architecture from the 1950s to the 70s. There's something about gray, simple concrete architecture that i really like. Most would find it bland, but there's something i like about it - maybe it's that it's "keeping it real" - can't really put my finger on it.
It shows strength, no need for the fancy frills of colours and angles and fancy lines, straight and strong, like an old castle.
Or at least that is how it is with me.
