2 - Even if Oden does not return, there are some other more worthy candidates for the top 3. And if you're going to take into account the talent that was drafted after Oden (ie. Durant), then you need to do the same for other picks.

Sam Bowie. He hardly did anything. The next 3 players selected after him were MJ, Sam Perkins, and Charles Barkley.

Darko. He has hardly done anything. Unlike Oden, he has not shown signs of becoming an all-star or all defensive team player. The next 3 players selected after him were Carmelo, Bosh, and Wade.

Kwame. He has hardly done anything. The next 2 players selected after him were Tyson Chandler and Pau Gasol.

Olowokandi Did very little. Was selected 1st in an extremely deep draft. Mike Bibby, Vince Carter, Antawn Jamison, Dirk Nowitzki, Paul Pierce and more were selected after him.

If Oden can get back to 75% health and play 65+ games for 3 or 4 seasons, I think he can still have a more productive career than Kwame, Darko, and Olowokandi.

So you think he can come back at 75% and last 3-4 seasons?
