Think about it: Coach Triano is the best in the league at developing young players & reclaimation projects. Each one of James Johnson, Amir Johnson, Demar, Sonny, Ed, Alexis, Jerryd, Linas & Julian showed that they became better than they were last year. This is directly due to Coach Triano's work w/them in practice, doing the same things he's been doing in player development since he became employed w/the team.
Linas- Played better in Europe & Denver and was hurt ( wasn't "better")
Sonny- Regresses this season
Julian- Played as he always has (very little)
Alexis- Barely played and as usual was frustrating to watch
Ed- Does what he's always done, block shots and rebound
Demar- Is still a horrible defender
James Johnson- Played well, but it was from the moment he came here which means he came here motivated to get minutes. (I'll give Jay some credit for giving him the minutes.
Amir- Has flurished the last two season and i'll give Jay some credit there.
But to say he's the best in the league at developing young players is a huge stretch.
