I had a terrible ankle problem throughout all of high school. I couldn't be on a court for 5 minutes without twisting or spraining it. That shit was awful especially because I would never take any time off. I'd be right on the court after 5 minutes. Eventually it went away as the muscles in my ankle strengthened over time (because I kept playing on a bum ankle) but now my right ankle is permanently swollen.
Before it gets to that point I'd definitely go to a good physio (if the one you go too isn't good, PM me and you can go to my dads clinic, he's a straight up magician when it comes to healing people.) I was lucky as I was younger and my body adapted to it, had it happened in my early twenties, I doubt I'd be playing ball right now.
