His first two and a half years in NJ were impressive and as you say, the team was dismantled shortly thereafter. Therefore i'll take the usual Triano excuse around here. He didn't have the talent, so it's the players fault. And he still got the team to keep the opponents to average 100 points which would be a huge upgrade here. Frank>>>>>Triano as a defensive coach. Like i said if we can get the absolute best coaches here, by all means let's do it, but Frank would be an upgrade over our stiff.
Are you ever going to address any of the points in my initial post or are you just going to keep saying he's better than Triano?
Jason Kidd had Byron Scott fired and played out of his mind once he was gone and was the defacto coach in New jersey
from there on in. After going 13-0 they went 12-15 the rest of the way. League scoring was lower back then, so quoting a bunch of stats that don't include pace means absolutely nothing to me. They went from the best defense in the league 2 years in a row under Scott to 4th, to 7th, to 4th, to 15th, to 21st and to 24th. And then in his swan song, he coached them to one of the worst starts in NBA history.
