would be considered a "piggy-backer". His game was an integral part of the Heat's success this season. He avgd 19 & 8. He may not be the #1 option but he's definitely a prime contributor.
Now when Payton joined the Heat and won a ring with them? Or when he joined the Lakers afterwards? THAT's an example of a "piggy-backer".... or JO and Shaq joining BOS this season.
