I don't see much, if any, benefit from trading Bargnani
for Green. I like Green a lot, but he's way too inconsistent, he's more of a role player than a lead guy, and he doesn't address a need on the team. While Bargnani
is also extremely inconsistent, he has a higher upside than Green and arguably has been the better producer.
If the team wants to deal Bargnani, they could surely do better than a straight-up deal for Green. There likely will be several teams interested in landing Bargnani, who could be an extremely valuable player if teamed with the right big man and PG. For instance, Bargnani
in New Orleans would be a great fit with Paul at PG and Okafor at C, not to mention West out for some time. I also wonder if the Lakers will be looking to make any moves this off-season should they be eliminated by the Mavs.
