It's 40 years old. I find it odd that music that old can be thought of as fresh, and viable for promotional purposes. That wasn't the case in the past. You wouldn't have seen the son of Buddy Rich opening games with his version of I got a Gal in Kalamazoo. There was much more importance on newness. I would guess that in 1980 while Bonham's dad was still alive, there would have been very little consideration for using Led Zeppelin. It was already pretty dated.
That said - In through the Out Door is my favorite Zep album. It's too bad they didn't get a chance to continue to revive their newer sounds.
