A 2 year non-guaranteed deal is wishful thinking - to put it mildly. You either want BC to finish what he has started (the rebuild), without making him change course mid-stream, and trying to expedite the process, or you go after somebody else. A 2 year non-guaranteed deal will not get it done.
I have to agree. I would say a 2yr guaranteed with a 3rd year option might be something he'd be interested in. And with his confidence i'd say he's confident he'd stay here 3yrs and then get an extension. I think 3yrs guaranteed would pretty much keep him here, but if he's looking for a raise that could be the issue.
