Look at the team D'Antoni has now. They have two of the best offensive players in the league. They're still an under-.500 team. Cohesiveness aside (they've been together for only a few weeks), do you really think that D'Antoni's system would be some kind of upgrade to an already offensively fine and defensively awful squad?
His system only worked in Phoenix because he had the second best pick and roll duo in NBA history behind Malone and Stockton and fantastic corner three shooters. It would be a disaster here. Who's our Nash? Our Amare? May I remind you we are LEAGUE WORST in three point shooting?
Triano isn't COTY but D'Antoni would be apocalyptically bad for our team. Christ, even with the ideal personnel they couldn't make it to the Finals.
