No need to panic with trading Bargs
right now. Lets see what pieces can be attained thru the draft and free agency. We are in a rebuilding mode.
I certainly wouldn't pick Bargs
to be a starter on a good team, unless his aggressiveness on the defensive end increasing immensely. Either a 6th man, or on a team that has stud defenders would suit him better.
No facts here, but he just doesn't seem to step up when challenged by his coaches ... I've got to believe that over the year, his coaches have asked him to be more aggressive. He just seems like a sensitive person and doesn't respond well to adversity.
If he was on my team, I would sit his ass down more often (not based on his numbers, but based on his effort/aggressiveness) and get him a full time shrink to learn how to deal with it. The sky is the limit for Bargs
if he could just learn to be more nasty.
