Child Support for situations like this should be something around 5k/month PLUS 250k/year into an account that the child can access when they're 18.
No, the mother doesn't have a right to a new standard of living because she was a cheap one night stand.
Simply put, bitch is in it for the money.
The kids likely wont see much of it at all.
well, that's why i said 'depending on the nature of their relationship'.
that said, how do you have 3 (and a 4th on the way) kids with someone after a 'cheap one night stand'?
and, given the length of their relationship and the clear intent to be the parents of at least a few kids, arenas has a legal (and i would argue moral) responsibility to take care of them and provide support for them. and the law indicates (quite rightly) that it is not the basic minimum that someone owes, but rather a payment in line with their income, with the expectations that the child is a part of that extended family relationship, and with the standard of living that comes with that family.
i have no idea what your knowledge of family law is, but your point about 5k per month, etc, is not in line with any legal system in the developed world. there might just be a few good reasons for that.
